Club founded by the actress promotes stories written by women and releases a literary selection per month
THE Reese’s Book Clubfounded in 2017 by the actress Reese Witherspoonannounced the first six works chosen to integrate the 2025 literary curatorship. Operated by the company Hello sunshinethe main proposal is to promote stories with female protagonists written by authors, highlighting different genres, styles and voices around the world.
Since its inception, the club has boosted several titles to the bestseller list and has helped to launch or consolidate careers of authors as Taylor Jenkins Reid, Celeste ng, Delia Owensamong others. In addition, many of the chosen works joined Hello Sunshine’s audiovisual projects, with adaptations for cinema and TV.
“My goal is to create a community around art and entertainment. I am always looking for stories with new perspectives, whether about maturing, restarts or romantic comedies,” explained Reese Witherspoon in an interview with the magazine Backstage.

The 2025 choices reinforce the thematic diversity of curatorship, with titles that move through romance, fantasy, historical drama and psychological mystery. The partnership with Apple Books ensures that all works are also available in audiobook format.
