New, called Crystal Lake, should show what happened before the events of the franchise’s first movie, released in 1980
Crystal Lakefranchise prelude slasherFriday 13already has its Jason Voorhees: Callum Vinsonwho participated in the series Chucky(2021-2024), will live the character in his childhood, before turning into the infamous villain.
He joins Linda Cardellini(Dial friend to kill), which had already been announced as Pamela Voorheesmother of Jason. In addition to the duo, the series will still count Nick Cordileone(Warrior) as Ralph Neeleythe “drunk of the city”; and Danielle Kotch(Person of Interest) and Phoenix Parnevik(Bel-Air) as Claudette Hayes and Barry Jacksonrespectively, victim of the first movie.
Joy Suprano (Toby’s new life), Gwendolyn Sundstrom (I’m Beginning to See the Light), Cameron Scoggins (Nashville: In the rhythm of fame), Devin Kessler (Godfather of Harlem), William Catlett (Abigail) and Nancy Nagrant (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), among others, complete the cast of Crystal Lakescheduled for 2026, but not yet confirmed debut date.
