The arrival of this half of season reveals different interactions with Xenomorfo and a clearer way about the completion of the series
The first chapters of Alien: Earth were dedicated to presenting the characters in the new chapter of the franchise created by Ridley Scott (Gladiator), taking focus of the creature that names the series. However, as the series advances, the focus changes, as happened in its fourth episode, now available on Disney+.
In the new chapter, Alien: Earth It surprised by revealing a mysterious connection of hybrids with the xenomorphs without they automatically killed by the alien creature, expanding the franchise mythology.
At another end, we also have the arrival of Hermit (Alex Lawther, Water) to the “land of the never”, where the hybrids live, which creates an additional tension, since he insists on taking his sister from that place, while Wendy (Sidney Chandler, Don’t worry dear) demonstrates that it is no longer a “little girl” and can make your own decisions.
The narrative helps the protagonist to rediscover the voice he was losing amid the subtrams of Alien: Earthwhich were more interesting than the main one in the previous episode, as Morrow (Babou Ceesay, Wolfe) in conflict with Slightly (Adarsh Gourav, Malegaon Superboys) and the pregnancy of NIBS(Lily Newmark,Pincushion), generating suspicions about Prodigy’s real intentions.
In general, the series remains competent and well produced. The episode gives signs of growth: Wendy develops more and more, corporate conspiracy gains interesting layers and hybrids offer a new way of exploring the terror and mythology of Alien.
And I still leave here a theory: the island where they are eventually exploding, eliminating both aliens and Prodigy, being something that would talk totally towards the story and the first film in the franchise. But it is waiting to see.
