On September 4, 2014, Argentina was paralyzed with the news of the death of Gustavo Cerati. After having stayed more than four years in a coma by a stroke suffered in the middle of the show in Venezuela, the stereo of Soda died, but not its art, which, today, 11 years later, continues intact in the collective memory.
Cerati was much more than a singer: He was a composer, producer and true innovative. At the head of Soda marked an entire generation with historical discs such as “Signs”, “Dynamo” or “Animal Song”, which has always changed the way of listening to rock in Spanish.
Already in his solo career, he has been encouraged to merge genres, experiment with electronics and reinvent himself without fear. His capacity for creation made him an undisputed reference, admired not only in Argentina but on the whole continent.
Mass tours, international prices and collaborations with renowned artists have clearly indicated that their music did not know the borders.
And still today, Each September, his name becomes a trend: The new generations discover their songs, while the usual fans keep this fire with tributes, taxes and versions that cross the networks.
