Oasis celebrates 30 years of “(What’s the story) Morning Glory?” with remastered version

BRITPOP’s classic relaunch includes unpublished acoustic versions mixed by Noel Gallagher and serves as a pillar for the tour

The last Thursday, 2, marked the 30th anniversary of (What’s the story) Morning Glory? (1995), album that cemented the Oasis as the largest British rock band of your generation. To celebrate the date, the band released a remastered version on streaming.

The relaunch gains more weight when launched in the middle of the meeting tour Oasis Live ’25who sees the brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher Dividing the stage for the first time since 2009. The new edition features a remastered version of the album and, as highlighted, includes five classic songs in format Unplugged (acoustic), newly filled by Noel Gallagher.

(What’s the story) Morning Glory? It is widely acclaimed as a Britpop seminal disc, selling over 22 million copies worldwide. The album, in essence, is a “chained singles collection” that were written at the height of the band’s rivalry with Blur. The album has transformed Oasis a cult phenomenon into a world pop force, with melodies that are remembered to this day.

If the debut album, Definery Maybe (1994), dealt with the desire for success, Morning Glory? It plunges into chaotic reality after reaching it. The title track, “Morning Glory“And the epic“Supernova ChampagneIt contains direct allusions to the use of substances and the unruly lifestyle of the time.

Despite the noise, the disc finds balance in reflective and universal ballads. Songs like “Wonderwall”And“Don’t Look Back In Anger”Injected melancholy and comfort into the chaotic narrative, expanding the appeal of Oasis Beyond British rock. These hymns, which became the backbone of the band’s catalog, turned the project into a global milestone that transcended Britpop.

The band has confirmed shows in Sao Paulo, for November 22 and 23, 2025, at the Morumbis Stadium.
