In France, Resurrection has been broadcast since August 21 on Canal+, although it was first offered to North American audiences on Paramount+. Since its broadcast ended, fans have been wondering if this new story will continue. Michael C. Hall just provided the answer. In a new video, the interpreter of the antihero has just announced it the series would in fact have a second season.
Michael C. Hall does not delve into the story or casting of the new episodes, simply explaining that new information will come later. The description of the video, however, teases “surprises” for next season.
The prequel series was suddenly cancelled
In the video, Michael C. Hall indicates that the writing team of Resurrection and in the assembly phase. Which implies this the scripts for the new episodes have not yet been written. Their filming will therefore probably not take place for several months. This means that only the second season of the show will be released probably not before 2027.
Elsewhere in the universe of Right, the prequel series The Origins it had been officially renewed by Showtime several months ago. But since then, an unexpected and very rare turning point took place. As reported by Expirationthe channel has finally chosen to clear the rest of this series in September to focus on Resurrection.
