“The story is set in the early 80s and takes place in a middle-class neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro: identical twin sisters Iara and Marilena (Fernanda Torres) live playing tricks on men, pretending to be one another, to the despair of their father, Dr. Jorge (Francisco Cuoco). Marilena is a biologist. Iara, like her mother (Fernanda Montenegro), is a seamstress. One day Marilena meets Osmar (Evandro Mesquita), owner of a driving school, with whom he falls in love at first sight. The same, however, happens to Iara, who decides to seduce her sister’s boyfriend without him (and her) knowing. An intense rivalry begins between the sisters, in search of Osmar’s love, which will bring the story a surprising outcome.”
