Horror festival at Cinesystem Belas Artes Frei Caneca rescues great classics of the genre

Between October 22nd and November 5th, the Horror Film Festival shows hits such as Nosferatu, The Shining and A Nightmare on Elm Street

Between October 22nd and November 5th, Cinesystem Belas Artes Frei Caneca hosts the first edition of Horror Film Festivalan exhibition that travels through the genre’s timeline, bringing new features and remembering great classics such as Nosferatu (1922), Dracula (1931), The Exorcist (1973), The Shining (1980) and Blair Witch (1999), among others.

The program begins with the national premiere of Haunted Recife 2a sequel to the Pernambuco film that mixes urban legends and Brazilian folklore. Starring Vitória Strada (Save Yourself Who Can) and Daniel Rocha (Who Will Stay With Mário?), the film will be shown on October 22nd.

Other new features include Bury Your Deadwith Selton Mello (I’m Still Here) and Marjorie Estiano (Under pressure), and The Ugly Stepsistera fairy tale about Cinderella’s evil sister, which was part of the programming of the last edition of Rio Festival.
