A production doomed to failure even before its release in theaters?

In 2023 a small UFO like this one hit our movie screens: The Flash. The DC movie was a monstrous flop at the global box office lose 200 million dollars to Warner Bros. It must be said that the film directed by Andy Muschietti didn’t start off well.

Two years later, Andy Muschietti finally spoke out about the fiasco From The Flash. In a conversation with The playlistthe filmmaker believes that the audience had already made up their minds before even seeing the film:

“A lot of people haven’t seen it, but you know how it is today: people don’t see anything, but they like to talk bad about it and get carried away by trends. They don’t really know. People are angry for reasons that have nothing to do with this. »

Despite the sometimes violent criticism the film received, Andy Muschietti is proud of the work carried out at The Flash :

“We just moved forward and understood that sometimes there are difficulties and a project that requires a lot of work. And we are very proud of it. I think it’s a good film,” he judges.

After this debacle, Andy Muschietti will have a chance to reconnect with the superhero genre and try to get off to a good start. He was chosen by James Gunn to direct Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Release scheduled for 2028…if all goes well.
