The Academy Awards has announced its decision regarding Will Smith following the 2022 Oscars.
On March 27, Will Smith sparked a scandal after Chris Rock’s joke in the middle of an Oscar ceremony over a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith.
The American comedian has since apologized and left the Oscar Academy, awaiting sanctions from the organizers.
The board of directors finally issued a verdict after disciplinary proceedings were initiated against the artist.
Will Smith was banned from the Oscars
The latter is now banned from participating in any Oscar ceremony for a period of 10 years.
