New feature film by Kleber Mendonça Filho (Bacurau), starring Wagner Moura (Civil War), opens in Brazilian cinemas in November
The Secret Agentnew film by Kleber Mendonça Filho (Nightjar) starring Wagner Moura (Civil War), which is expected to represent Brazil at the 2026 Oscars, will receive advance screenings this Saturday, October 25th, in cinemas across the country. The news was announced by the filmmaker himself on his social networks:

What is the story of The Secret Agent?
In The Secret Agent, Marcelo (Wagner Moura) is a university professor, who flees to Recife to escape government agents who are looking for him for subversive activities. However, upon arriving in the city, where he believes he is safe until he can flee the country with his young son, he discovers that he has been sworn to death by an old enemy.
