Lee Pace admitted that his heart is occupied, and officially! The 43-year-old American actor is best known for his roles as Thranduil in The Hobbit trilogy, the vampire Garrett in the final installment of the Twilight saga, Ronan the Accuser in the Marvel Universe, and for starring roles in Dead on Call (2007-2009) and Stop and burn” (2014-2017), became the main character of the new issue of GQ Hype magazine. In an interview, he confirmed that he and Matthew Foley, the executive director of the New York brand Thom Browne, are connected not only by romantic feelings, but also, as they say, “a stamp in the passport.”

What can I say about marriage… Once it seemed to me like an endless sleepover with the strangest friend. In our experience, this has proven to be absolutely true. If you find one person that you can afford to be weird with, then just stay with them and stick with them.

He also briefly told the story of their acquaintance, which happened several years ago thanks to their mutual friend:

I said to my friend Nick: “You know a lot of people, do you have someone in mind for me?” And luckily, it worked,” Pace said.

As it turned out, Lee and Matthew are seriously thinking about expanding their family – the couple wants to have children:

I would like to have children. I think there is nothing better than little kids running around you.

For the first time, the romance between the actor and the stylist became known in November 2019, when Pace posted a photo of his partner on his page on the social network. Since then, he rarely shares pictures with Matthew – more joint shots can be found on the pages of mutual friends. Since the beginning of their relationship, the nominee for the Golden Globe and Emmy awards almost always goes out in the clothes of the brand where his chosen one works (photo shoot for GQ Hype, by the way, was no exception).

It should be noted that Lee Pace came out 10 years ago against his will. In a 2012 interview, Ian McKellen, who worked with Pace on The Hobbit films, called him gay. Outing (that is, coming out not of one’s own free will) was later described by the press as a mistake and an accident, since Pace at that time preferred not to touch on this topic. Only in February 2018, Pace said that he had relationships with both men and women, but did not seek to define himself in any way. But already in June, he came out as a queer.

In a recent phone interview, I was asked questions I didn’t expect, and for a moment I couldn’t find the right words. My privacy is important to me, so I protect it. When the media interview me, I try to focus their attention on my work. As a member of the queer community, I understand how important it is to live openly, it is important that your opinion is taken into account, it is important to remain who you are, ”he wrote then in his micro-blog.
