Who will be the next James Bond girl?
A very promising duo signs their twenty-sixth film James Bond. Entrusted by Amazon MGM Studios to oversee the new creative direction of the franchise, the producers David Heymann AND Amy Pascal have chosen to entrust the production of this new work to Denis Villeneuve. And they charged Steven Knight to write the screenplay. The director to whom we owe in particular Prisoners will therefore bring to the screen a screenplay written by the creator of Peaky Blinders.
We still don’t know the name of the new interpreter of the famous spy. As explained last September, this is not expected to change until next yearwhen Denis Villeneuve has finished dealing with it Dune: part three. However, this does not prevent rumors from circulating on the subject. The same goes for James Bond’s future girlfriend. AND Sydney Sweeney might be the favorite to play this character.
Sydney Sweeney hesitates to answer
In an article dedicated to a long interview with Sydney Sweeney, Variety reports it Jeff Bezosthe head of Amazon, I would love to see her play the next James Bond girl. Both have known each other since they teamed up to launch a lingerie brand with Jeff Bezos’ wife, Lauren Sánchez. During their interview, Variety asked the American actress for information rumors about his possible participation in the spy franchise. Then she showed herself very hesitant to answer :
I cannot. . I do not know. . To be honest, I don’t know all the rumors about James Bond, but I’ve always been a huge fan of the franchise and I’m excited and curious to see what they do next.
Jeff Bezos is reportedly pushing for Sydney Sweeney to become the next Bond Girl.

These comments could suggest that Sydney Sweeney has already had concrete discussions regarding his possible participation in the twenty-sixth chapter of the saga, but that he simply cannot talk about it publicly yet. After their conversation, Variety he asked her if she would be interested in such a role. She then replied: “ It depends on the scenario. I think I’d like to play James Bond more.”.
Will the film return to the character’s beginnings?
Let’s remember that Denis Villeneuve already has a profile in mind for the future interpreter James Bond. The Quebec director would like to favor “a stranger” from the British Isleswho would have done it about 30 years.
As for the story of the twenty-sixth film, Steven Knight should base it on it the first novels written by Ian Fleming about his famous character. The film could also return at the beginning of the character, even before being recruited by MI6. Maybe we will then follow him while he is still a commander of the Royal Navy.
