A new collaboration between Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos

The challenge of a unique scene in “Bugonia”
In fact, inside Bugonia, Emma Stone shaves her head. As one could imagine, this detail did not scare the actress who did not hesitate for a second. On the other hand, it is another detail, of order technicianwhich worried him.
“It was a shoot and there were four cameras positioned to be safe,” he tells Entertainment Weekly.
During this scene Emma Stone only thought of one thing: “ I contemplated staying put. Since I wasn’t fully awake at that moment, I said to myself: play dead, in short, play dead. »
It is not surprising that the actress he nailed the scene in just one take. Yorgos Lanthimos was also delighted by this scene which, it seems, had its share of stress in store for them:
“Emma had had a little hesitation just before, not a hesitation to do it, but it felt like a knot in her stomach. But we did it. Luckily, we managed it. We only had one take. And after that, Emma felt great. She saw herself on the screen, she really liked it and she felt very free,” she added.
