Massacre made the Pride March vibrate with its energy and its message of freedom

Massacre was one of the musical protagonists of the 34th Buenos Aires Pride March, a historic celebration which brought together more than two million people under the motto “In the face of hatred and violence: more pride and equality”.

With its unmistakable style and message of freedom, the group led by Walas brought its energy and countercultural outlook to a day marked by diversity and inclusion.

The show began with “Plan B: Longing for Satisfaction” and continued with classics such as “She Va”, “Sofia, the Super Star”, “Tanto amor” and “La Reina de Marte”.

The closing was with a version of “Je t’aime aussi”, the memorable song by Sergio Denis which Massacre remade years ago for the film “Cheese Face,” directed by Ariel Winograd.

Massacre’s presence at the Pride March was no coincidence: from its beginnings, the group has positioned itself critically against patriarchy, machismo and traditional gender structures.

Walas, with his provocative style and off-the-beaten-path aesthetic, naturally reaffirmed this position. “I wear tights, gloves, women’s hats. I have no problem with sexuality. I consider myself a big, somewhat ambiguous woman and I’m happy,” she expressed.
