Ariana Grande cancels coming to Brazil for the premiere of ‘Wicked 2’

Actress and singer would participate in an event in São Paulo with Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey and director Jon M. Chu

Ariana Grande announced, on his social networks, that he is no longer coming to Brazil. The actress and singer would arrive in São Paulo this Tuesday, November 4th, to participate in the premiere of Wicked: Part 2 together with co-stars Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Baileyin addition to the director Jon M. Chubut something unforeseen happened and ended up canceling the trip.

“Brazil, I can’t believe this is happening and I’m so devastated to send this message. A few hours ago, my team and I had to disembark from our flight so the plane could undergo maintenance due to problems and it won’t fly until 11 am, which means I won’t be there in time for the premiere of Wicked 2 in São Paulo”he wrote.

“My team and Universal [Pictures] They tried everything to solve the problem, we looked for other flights, early in the morning, in the morning, connections, commercial and even private flights and absolutely nothing was available or would be possible to take us on time. Even when trying a private option, there is a necessary permission for the flight to take place and it takes time to obtain”he continued, explaining.

What is the story of Wicked?

Wicked tells the story of two unlikely friends, Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), before becoming the Wicked Witch of the Westand Glinda (Ariana Grande), the future Good Witch of the Southwho become best friends, even with opposing personalities, different points of view and the fight for the love of the same man.
