Christine Quinn, a prominent Los Angeles real estate agent on the Netflix series sale at sunset, confirmed earlier this year that he had left the Oppenheim group that the reality series was focusing on to launch their own cryptocurrency brokerage. As a result, questions abounded as to whether this meant she was also missing as an official cast member, further complicated by Quinn’s conflicting statements on the matter. The latest reports suggest that she, in fact, is dating forever, and her former boss / co-star Jason Oppenheim is dealing with the situation.
Sources told various media outlets lately, including Term, which seasons 6 and 7 of the drama series are currently shooting without Christine Quinn. The 33-year-old and Netflix have not officially spoken to confirm the news, but TMZ met Jason Oppenheim after the new hype, and replied that he was “not involved” in the casting decisions. However, he added that he fully supports his former employee him and his future, even if it is not there sale at sunset. He said:
I always follow my agent’s example. I always want them to do what’s best for them. I know she is starting her own business and I have supported her in this process. I would never question an agent’s decision on their professional endeavors. I still think they are capable of making their own decisions. I will advise and support, but I will never get mad at anyone for leaving. Honestly, I want what’s best for Christine, and if she thinks that’s what’s best, then I support her.
However, Jason Oppenheim confirmed the rumors of the departure. He told the outlet that he kept in touch with the infamous real estate agent via text message, even sending her “some compliments” on her modeling jobs he has been doing lately. Also, he revealed how “cool” he would be if Christine Quinn “showed up”. sale at sunset to some extent in the future. (Perhaps as a “friend of the show” in the sense of what they do for the real housewives franchise?)
Quinn herself commented in May that there were discussions going on at the time of her figure in season six, if only as a Los Angeles runner competing with Oppenheim’s booming business now that she runs on her own.
So maybe he’s the guest star, or maybe he’s not. However, the question remains whether or not sale at sunset will survive without her as the main engine of the series’ stories. Christine Quinn has leaned heavily on drama, as well as her lead villain role, for the past five seasons, and most of her others have been content to leave it to him. With her gone, perhaps Lazkani, Chelsea’s protégé from Quinn’s fifth season, will fill those shoes, but not so fast …
Deadline has confirmed that the cast of luxury real estate agents will be completed by Nicole Young and Bre Tiesi. She the latter has just given birth to her first child with Nick Cannon, aka her eighth child, so she should be interesting in her own right. And Jason Oppenheim shared that the new blood is of great help sale at sunsetsaid,
We have such a strong team. We have two new, really strong women. I’m not worried that seasons 6 and 7 are the best. I already feel they are becoming the best.
He was reluctant to label someone a “bad boy” again, but hinted that some “interesting dynamics” were developing. I think so, after all, Jason Oppenheim will enter season six now with two ex-girlfriends on his team after his big breakup with Chrishell Stause last season. Stause, in turn, has moved on with a new romance and her co-star Heather Rae Young is now expecting her first child from husband Tarek El Moussa. So overall, there should be some “dynamics” for the show to go through without Christine Quinn.
Obviously, Jason Oppenheim went on to say he was thrilled with it sale at sunset to show “a lot” of flashy new real estate and best selling properties even in this new era. But let’s be honest, maybe that’s only 30% of the reason we all watch this Emmy-nominated reality series. We will soon see how he will be affected by Christine Quinn’s departure. Even before that, however, there is the spin-off I am selling the OCwhich begins airing on August 24 as part of Netflix’s 2022 TV show.
