Horror convention promoter responds to Gary Busey sex crime allegations

A promoter at a horror movie convention says he is helping authorities with sexual assault charges filed against actor Gary Busey in New Jersey earlier this month.

Buze, 78, was charged Friday with two counts of fourth-degree sexual intercourse, one count of attempted aggravated sexual intercourse and one count of stalking after alleged acts at the Aug. Tree Hotel. in the Philadelphia suburb of Cherry Hill, police said Saturday.

Monster-Mania Convention said in a Facebook post that, following complaints from attendees, an “unspecified guest celebrity was removed from the convention and ordered not to return.”

“Monster-Mania also encouraged participants to contact the police for a report,” the company said, adding that behavior that compromises the safety and well-being of participants will not be tolerated.

“Monster-Mania will continue to assist authorities in any way possible,” the statement said.
