It looks like Sherlock Holmes is off the hook, but if the previous film is any indication, his smart sister can definitely get him out of the crisis. The film will follow Enola, played by Millie Bobby Brown, who is now a hired detective and solves a dangerous new mystery with the help of her friends. Looks like Sherlock will need all the help he can get. I can’t wait for this brother / sister relationship to be explored further in another story full of adventures. In particular, I can’t wait for Henry Cavill’s incredible Sherlock Holmes hair to return, whatever their condition. Will his hair fall out like Sherlock does? I guess I’ll have to wait until November for the answer.
This news comes shortly after Netflix finally released footage of the new movie. Henry Cavill will star opposite Milly Bobby Brown, who reprises her lead role. Enola Holmes 2 began the development process in May 2021, shortly after the success of Enola Holmes on Netflix. Along with Cavill and Brown, Helena Bonham-Carter and Louis Partridge from the original film will return to star in the sequel, along with Sharon Duncan-Brewster and wonderful womanDavid Thewlis of ‘s also joins the cast.
The original film received mostly positive reviews, with many crediting Cavill and Brown’s charismatic performances and chemistry. In the same interview with People, Enola Holmes 2 Director Harry Bradbeer confirmed that the chemistry between the siblings is good both off-screen and on-screen. He says:
They made fun of each other and noticed each other’s small weaknesses. Millie always joked, very sweetly, Henry, and I think she liked her.
Honestly, it’s just too adorable and I hope we can keep seeing these two together on screen for as long as possible.
