‘Red Sonia’: Matilda Lutz to Star in Millennium Sword and Sorcery Movie

Millennium Media has begun production on the long-gestating sword and sorcery feature film red soniaAdapted from the comic book series and starring Matilda Lutz as Red Sonia.

The cast also includes Wallis Day, Robert Sheehan as Draigan, Michael Bisping as Hawke, Martin Ford as General Karlak and Eliza Matengu as Amarak. MJ Bassett will direct the film after Joey Soloway originally directed the project, with Soloway receiving an executive producing credit.

And Hannah John Kamen was supposed to play the lead role of Red Sonia, but she pulled out due to scheduling conflicts. The film is initially being produced at Bulgaria’s Nu Boyana studio, with additional filming planned in Greece.
