Disney+ has revealed an eclectic list of five new unscripted UK originals, spanning a wide range of talent and topics, from Keanu Reeves to some of the most talked about shows of the year in the UK.
Christy vacancy (working title), produced by Lorton Street Entertainment in association with Dorothy Street Pictures, will reveal one of Britain’s biggest tabloid stories of the last decade, revealing how Coleen Rooney, wife of football star Wayne Rooney, became an avid detective. He reveals who leaked personal stories to the press and the high-profile defamation case brought against him by the wife of a football player, Rebecca Vardy. In a blow to Disney+, the three-part series will feature exclusive access to Rooney, as well as interviews with family, friends and key people involved in the trial.
Inside Brown: One-pound Formula 1 team (working title), Keanu Reeves tells the story of how in 2009, independent and underfunded Brawn GP team won the World Championship, a sporting miracle that shook the F1 world. Starring Ross Brown and presenter Jenson Button, the four-part documentary series, narrated by Reeves, who will also conduct interviews, is developed and produced by showrunner Simon Hammerson and director Daryl Goodrich. The executive producers are Reeves., Sean Doyle and Neil Duncanson for North One.

In Vogue: The 1990s Raw will be produced by Lizelle Evans and Sam Anthony, and Sarah Amos, Mark Guiducci and Helen Estabrook will executive produce for Condé Nast Entertainment.
“The 1990s were an exciting and important decade for fashion. It was a period when fashion entered the mainstream, when it became inevitable, culturally relevant and full of iconoclasm, expression and difference,” Wintour said. “The personalities were larger than life. This series captures all of that, and I’m thrilled that is coming to Disney+.”
Throwing Oscar and Emmy-winning prestige into the mix, Camden comes from Lightbox, a production company founded by Simon Chin (Looking for a sugar man, man on the wire) and Jonathan Chin (LA 92, Bathtub) and Asif Kapadia (amy). The four-part docuseries will explore how a small corner of North London has had a huge impact on music as we know it, with access to some of the biggest stars in the world whose lives were forever changed by Camden. Kapadia directs the series and is produced by Simon Chin, Jonathan Chin and Susan Lavery for Lightbox and Nick Szymanski, Jasper Waller-Bridge and Ben Friedman for Day One Pictures.

Inside meeting mikel, from Shine TV of Banijay UK, Spencer Matthews, who rose to British television fame with a scripted reality show made in chelsea – follows in the footsteps of his brother Michael Matthews, who in 1999 became the youngest Briton to climb Everest, only to disappear three hours after reaching the top, his body never recovering. The documentary was produced by Shine TV with The Natural Studios (a joint venture with Banijay) as co-producers. The five projects were commissioned by Sean Doyle, director of EMEA non-scripted content for Disney+, who has committed to 60 local productions by 2024 in EMEA alone.
