Oscar Isaac revealed that he used mushrooms alongside Ethan Hawke during the filming of moon knight (2022). The two actors give life to the protagonist and the antagonist, respectively, of the production of the Marvel. (Via Showbiz CheatSheet)
In an interview with The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Isaac revealed that filming took place over months at a familiar location in Budapest. “We mostly shot, like, seven months in Budapest and a couple of weeks in Jordan in the same desert where we shot. [Star Wars] The Rise of Skywalker (2019) and Dune (2021). [Nós filmamos] in the Wadi Rum desert. This is my old territory.”
Then, Isaac described how they “danced with God” after using “magic mushrooms.” “It’s one of those things where it’s either going to be fun or it’s going to go really bad. But it turned out to be a lot of fun. Celebrities, they’re just like us, right?”
Isaac also said, “It was my brother and Ethan. We were in a house, and our families had just left, and we spent the weekend there. It was at a place called Lake Balaton, which is on the outskirts of Budapest. It’s so beautiful. And we got our hands on some psilocybin; magic mushrooms […] We lay down and laughed for a long time listening to music and then we went to a park and played some football.”
