The Crown spin-off should show royalty in the first half of the 20th century
The Crown (2021), series by Netflixcan win spin-off, according to Hello Magazine. The prequel would depict events 50 years before the original episodes and may premiere shortly after main production ends.
Peter Morgancreator of The Crownis in negotiations with the Netflix for the project. The intention is to portray English royalty in the first half of the 20th century. The original series shows the family after the Queen’s marriage to Prince Philip in 1947.
The premiere could take place in 2023, as determined by the daily mail. In addition, five seasons are estimated for the spin-off, still without an official name.
The fifth season of The Crown premieres in November 2022 and should be the penultimate. If the final episodes are released in 2023, fans of the series won’t have to spend much time away from the plot.
Among the possible events shown by the prequel may be the death of the Queen Victoria in 1901, and the crisis of the abdication of Edward VIIIwhen the king tried to marry the American Wallis Simpson.
