Dana Walden, three months after she fired Peter Rice to head Disney’s overall entertainment division, is beefing up her executive team with three promotions.

FX President of Entertainment Eric Schrier, Hulu President of Content Marketing and General Entertainment Shannon Ryan, as well as original ABC Entertainment and Hulu President Craig Erwich have been given elevated and expanded roles, Walden said Thursday. -fair.

While all three are expanding their respective fields, Schrier is moving from the entry-level cable network FX to a newly created position as president of Disney Television Studios and Disney General Entertainment’s business operations. In his new role, the respected executive, who has spent the past two decades under FX CEO John Landgraf, will now oversee Disney studios including Kari Burke’s 20th Television, Marcy Proietto’s 20th Television Animation and ABC Signature, by Johnny Davis. All three executives will now report to Shrier, as will executive vice president of strategy and finance Trisha Huson.

Meanwhile, Erwich will now serve as president of ABC Entertainment, Hulu and Disney Streaming Originals. In addition to his current role of overseeing the streaming network and originals on Hulu, Erwich will now add Disney’s unscripted, alternative entertainment to his responsibilities. Disney Branded Television President Ayo Davis will now report to Erwich for broadcast strategy and content, while Walden will report to Disney Channel and Disney Junior programming. Erwich’s direct reports now include Sharon Klein, executive vice president, and Rob Mills, executive vice president of alternative and unscripted entertainment. The move comes after Erwich had been at the helm of Hulu since 2014 and after running ABC in recent years following Disney’s recent restructuring.

Ryan, who joined Disney with Walden following Fox’s acquisition of Mouse House, will now serve as president of marketing for Disney General Entertainment. The beloved executive adds Disney and National Geographic television marketing to her portfolio, which already includes ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Freeform, Hulu Originals, Onyx Collective and Disney TV Studios. In additional responsibilities across the National Geographic and Disney television marketing teams, Pamela Levine will now report to Ryan. FX Marketing will remain under Stephanie Gibbons, who has managed the brand for the past 18 years.

As part of the changes, Brian Nunn will step down as president of Walt Disney Television Entertainment. The actions come months after Disney CEO Bob Chapek shocked the industry with his decision to replace Peter Rice as Disney’s president of entertainment and programming, after re-electing the CEO shortly before. Rice, along with Walden, was among the executives who came to Disney after Fox bought the Mouse House for $73 billion. He had two years on his contract when Chapek let him go. Chapek appointed Walden, Rice’s top lieutenant, to replace him.
