Oscar-winning French director Florian Zeller (Dad, son) has signed a multi-year contract with fast-growing European production company Mediawan (Call my agent!) development and production of high-end films and television series across multiple platforms.
Mediawan will finance and produce the films and series, co-producing them with Blue Morning Pictures, the production company Zeller recently founded with former CAA agent Federica St. Rose. Zeller won an Oscar for the screenplay DadHis directorial debut and adaptation of his own French work of the same name.
DadStarring Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman, it received six Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, and won Adapted Screenplay for Zeller and Best Actor for Hopkins.
As an agent for CAA’s media finance department, St. Rose has been involved in film packaging and marketing as the Venice Film Festival winner of Audrey Divan. it happens and the Netflix hit by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia platform. He worked with Zeller on both Dad and its follow-up sonStarring Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern and Vanessa Kirby, it premiered at the Venice Film Festival on Wednesday and will make its North American debut at the Toronto Film Festival on September 12.
