Neon Carnival Goes to Metavers with Paris Hilton

As the neon carnival prepares to return to the desert after a two-year hiatus, a follow-up party to the coveted festival is also heading to Metavers.

Paris Hilton will host a neon carnival in a meta version of online gaming platform Paris World Roblox, the first time an exclusive event will be offered to the public. Hilton kicked off the gaming experience in October at Paris World Roblox.

Neon Carnival founder Brent Bolthaus spoke the hollywood reporter On how the collaboration with Hilton originated, as well as what events audiences expect in both the meta and real world.

“[Hilton’s] it was no secret that [Neon Carnival’s] “It’s his favorite holiday of the year and he loves it,” Bolthaus said. “That’s why she had a post-wedding party outside of Santa Monica because she had rides and it looked like a neon carnival.” Hilton married businessman Carter Reum in November 2021.

Ahead of this year’s neon carnival, presented by Levi’s and Tequila Don Julio with Liquid IV, Bolthouse reached out to friend and business partner, Reum, about the possibility of hosting a meta version of the party with Hilton.

“It all happened very quickly, for example in the last four weeks,” Bolthaus said. “It wasn’t a long plan. So everyone worked really hard for it. We’re very excited to see how this turns out. ”

A nightlife lover also says he shared footage of the neon carnival with Roblox, so the meta-transformation experience closely matches the party taking place in the Coachella Valley.

“It was important to me that Roblox wasn’t alone in the world of Paris,” said Bolthaus. “I wanted it to be like you had to leave the world of Paris, get on a bus or do something and go to a neon carnival like you would in the real world. “Everything I’ve seen so far, the content is really amazing.”

The event’s founder calls the collaboration, which will feature Hilton’s DJ set, a “grand experiment” that “we hope” will be “amazing”.

“It’s like a big experiment, just to see how it’s going,” Bolthaus said. “It will be a few weeks. So both Coachella weekends, we do that. ”

However, the Roblox experience isn’t the only neon carnival activation that takes place in the meta version. Co-sponsor sponsor Tequila Don Julio is collaborating with artist and photographer José Silva to collect some of his most epic photos from this event over the years in an exclusive NFT that opens tickets to this year’s event that would otherwise only be available. . .

With just six NFTs available for auction, the top six bidders received four free VIP passes at the event on April 16. As for who will get an invite to a royal party, Bolthouse thinks the energy “is going to be amazing this year.”

“I feel like obviously everyone has been through a very traumatic period at all levels in the last couple of years,” Bolthaus said. “I think everyone is very excited to go out there and do something that everyone loves, which we haven’t done in three years, that sounds crazy.”

The nightlife guru says that with new rides and attractions, attendees can “dance the night away until the moon rises” this year, as they did after the 2010 Neon Carnival.
