The Hollywood Reporter Announces “Raising Our Voices” Kickoff Lunch With Marley Matlin on Top Note

the hollywood reporter On Wednesday, he announced his inaugural luncheon, “Raising Our Voices: Defining Hollywood’s Inclusion Agenda,” with a speech by Marley Matlin and speeches by Troy Kotsur, Gina Davis and others.

The event, presented by Walmart, will bring together the industry’s most influential and inspiring executives, storytellers and thought-provoking leaders in a groundbreaking series of discussions on diversity, equality and the state of inclusion in Hollywood and the future.

Kotsuri, who won an Oscar this year for his performance at Apple Studios. CODA, will introduce Matlin, his Best Picture-winning co-star, writer-director Xian Heather. Matlin became the first deaf actor to receive an Oscar for his lead role. Children of the Little God, In 1987; Kotsuri is now the second artist to have this distinction.

The event will be invite-only at The Maybourne Beverly Hills on April 20.
