17 years after the film’s release, Warner Bros. announced the sequel of Constantine2005 film starring Keanu Reeves. To change the original team-up, also goes back behind the camera Francis Lawrencewith Constantine he made his directorial debut.
The director of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of the Nightingale and the Serpent (prequel film of the legend of Hunger Games) will direct the second chapter in a screenplay by Akiva Goldsman who, with his Weed Road Pictures, will produce the film with Bad Robot from JJ Abrams And Hannah Minghella.

Derived from Hellblazer, the first film tells the story of John Constantine, a dastardly supernatural detective who literally goes to hell and then returns to earth. When Constantine begins to team up with policewoman Angela Dodson to solve the mysterious suicide of his twin brother, their investigation leads them into a world of demons and angels that exist behind the facade of contemporary Los Angeles. Involved in a catastrophic series of supernatural events, the two bond to each other in search of peace at any cost.
