53 personalities from the French artistic world have released a clip in which they cut their hair in support of Iranian women who are currently demonstrating for their rights after the death of Mahsa Amin.
On September 16, 22-year-old student Mahsa Amin died after being arrested by morality police in Tehran for twisting her hair. Since then, Iranian women have revolted and taken to the streets to demonstrate.
According to law enforcement officers, Amini has “Suddenly he had a heart problem and was rushed to the hospital”. He sadly died in a coma three days later without any complications “physical contact” between the police and the victim.
This version of the facts is disputed by many people who accuse the agents of mistreatment that led to the death of the young student.
For two weeks, these brave women have been shouting anger despite the repression. To support them, 53 French artists filmed themselves cutting their hair. The video was circulated on social networks.
