Christian Bale says he didn’t want to be an actor!

In a recent interview with GQ to discuss the feature film Amsterdam, Christian Bale also returned to his Batman character in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy. A role that could leave the world of Hollywood.

Considered one of the best actors of his generation, known for his complex, demanding and diverse roles (especially in the Dark Knight trilogy, an American psycho, a machinist or even a fighter), Christian Bale did not always want to act.

Indeed, when he was interviewed recently QG David O. Discussing his upcoming role in Russell’s Amsterdam, Bale revealed in response to Batman that he was somehow “forced” to play as a child.

When asked about his possible fear – at the time of Batman Begins – that the role of the Dark Knight would be stuck with him forever, the British comedian said that he would not be unhappy, quite the opposite:

“I liked the idea because I thought, ‘It could end up like this. I can’t be more than that.” And I did for a lot of people. I thought maybe I should do something else. And maybe get out of this damn thing I was forced to do. When I was a kid and I didn’t want to do it in the first place. That I was going to be free. And I didn’t. .”

Christian Bale was known from an early age thanks to his appearances in Disney’s News, Dr. March’s Four Girls, and especially Steven Spielberg’s Empire of the Sun, so he was thrust into the Hollywood spotlight very early. An experience that assured him a brilliant career, perhaps against his will.
