Patrick Carlin, comedy writer and brother of George Carlin, dies at 90

Patrick Carlin, comedy writer, author, podcaster and brother of the late George Carlin has died. He was 90 years old.

“My dear Uncle Patrick has moved into the spirit world,” she wrote. “Currently he is playing songs, playing Jay with Aunt Marlene and embarrassing his brother. He was a philosopher and a strict mold all rolled into one.

carlin wrote George Carlin Show, Which aired for one season on Fox in the mid-1990s. He is also credited with the audio version of George’s memoir, Last words. (George died in 2008 at age 71.)

Carlin was also the author, 2007 Highway 23: unrepentant and 2012 Who f! #He knows?

He was also a radio personality who worked at the Los Angeles rock station KROQ a few decades ago.

He recently hosted a podcast called Patrick’s Hollywood Stock Exchange.

He had two children, Patrick and Dennis, with his wife Marlene, who preceded him in death. They were married for over 60 years before he died a year ago.
