Colin Farrell interpreted Lord Percival Gravesa wizard whose identity and appearance were stolen by Gerard Grindelwald. In this case, the movie explained why the villain changed his appearance: Grindelwald decides to assume his own face (that of depp) to continue the wizarding world domination plan.
