Netflix Brasil: 10 national platform premieres target diversity

Netflix plans Brazilian series and films outside the Rio-São Paulo axis

After celebrating 5 years of original Brazilian productions, Netflix continued to invest in local production, with series and films. The main focus of the production company and streaming service is to go beyond the limits of the Rio-São Paulo axis and bring more diversity to cinema.

In the last week, new Brazilian productions of the streaming, with filming in the north and northeast states of the country. Invisible City (2021), with Marco Pigossi and Alessandra Negrinihas production and direction teams working in Belém, Pará, according to the Variety.

Only if it’s for loveseries that takes place in Goiás, will have Lucy Alves in the cast, and the actress praised the initiative: “This is a very special series, with different artists, with accents from all over Brazil.
