As we know, the film will mark the end of the cinematic adventure of the legendary archaeologist, however the three new official photos they show us an Indy in good shape, though inevitably marked by time or, as he would say, kilometers. Among them, two exclusive character-focused covers stand out.

So far the plot of the film is being kept strictly under lock and key, but it is inevitable to assume that it could be set in the 60s, some ten years after the events of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. However, some faint hints about the possible implications of the new venture may have been suggested by images showing the exterior sets released in recent months.

Announced in 2016, the fifth installment of the saga is first set to hit theaters in July 2019 and will see the return of Steven Spielberg behind the camera and of David Koepp in the script. However, the project has experienced many postponements over the years, culminating in Steven Spielberg’s decision to step back and step away from directing the film while remaining involved as a producer. These developments led to Koepp’s departure, with the burden of the screenplay shifting into the hands of Jonathan Kasdan. In February 2020 the post of director was entrusted James Mangold which also resulted in a complete overhaul of Koepp’s script.

Harrison Ford will return at the age of 78 to the iconic role of the professor Henry Jones III said Indiana for what would be the fifth and final film devoted toAdventure Archaeologist. To support him in the cast is there Mads Mikkelsen, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Boyd Holbrook, Thomas Kretschmann, Shaunette Renee Wilson And Antonio Banderas. According to reports that surfaced in late 2021, it looks like Waller-Bridge will play the archeologist’s assistant, which could pave the way for a future protagonist role in the franchise once Ford hangs up his hat and whip. Apparently Mads Mikkelsen will also play the film’s villain, who is supposed to be a Nazi scientist. We should also see the return of John Rhys-Davies in its historical role as Sallah Mohammed Faisel el-Kahirlong time friend of Indy participating in many of his adventures.
