‘Time Traveler Wife’ trailer shows Theo James and Rose Leslie in love over time

In the first trailer for HBO’s upcoming six-episode adaptation of Audrey Nieffenger’s novel time traveling wifeTheo James struggles to keep an eye on himself and his love until he realizes in time.

The story, previously adapted to a movie starring Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana, follows a “difficult and magical love story” between a man who gets wrong once and for all and a woman who loves that goes back to connect with him “disorderly” ” in your life.

James plays Henry, a man who travels back in time causing a genetic disorder, unlike Rose Leslie, who comes to terms with his impatient love and wife, Claire. The trailer shows how their story plays out unevenly across decades, seasons and hairstyles as the pair try to navigate their iffy relationship.

“We just went for each other,” Claire said. “In the wrong order.”

But their love isn’t the only thing complicating James’ time travel. As the trailer reveals, he also frequently finds himself in dangerous situations, such as running in front of speeding trains or evading firearms and police patrols, as well as constantly picking up his pants when he falls naked, at different places and times. .

As they grow closer and the sad reality of their love sinks in even further, Claire tries to help James not only get back together with him, but endure the traumatic or emotional days when he sends her back and forces her to change. .

Stephen Moffat adapted this successful love story while co-producing with Hartswood Films executive Brian Minchin, Joseph Ebert and director David Nutter. The show also features Desmin Borges and Natasha Lopez.
