Jason Bateman Upset Over Ozark’s Ending: “Happy Ending But They’re Lame”

Maybe it’s not all bad for the Bird family when ozarks It releases the latest batch of episodes later this month.

TV series star Jason Bateman has fallen tonight’s show on Friday, where he and host Jimmy Fallon discuss what to expect from fans of Netflix’s Emmy-winning drama, which focuses on money launderers March Bird (Bateman) and his wife Wendy (Laura Lynn) with their partner Ruth (Julia Garner). After the first seven episodes of the fourth and final season were released on January 21, the remaining seven episodes will be available on April 29.

When Fellon asked if there was any chance the dark narrative could have a happy ending, Bateman explained that he and showrunner Chris Mundi would speak before each season to discuss general themes and where the story could go.

“Last season, it was all like, ‘Well, how do we end?’ The Bird family has to pay the tax, you know? Bateman remembered. “And then he said, ‘I want it to be a happy ending, but it has to be a little bit, well, That’s it Are you happy for them?”

The star noted that the show’s staff didn’t know at first how things would end when the series began in July 2017. He continued about the finale: “I hope the audience thinks, ‘Oh, they made the needle out of a thread. ‘ Between happy endings, but they’re lame.”
