With 12 seasons broadcast between 2007 and 2019, The Big Bang Theory was marked by a famous catchphrase: “Bazinga,” said by Sheldon Cooperplayed by Jim Parsons🇧🇷 However, this word fell into disuse in the production created by Chuck Lorre – and the producer Steve Holland explained why this happened.

“We had a rocky relationship with ‘Bazinga,’ because it seemed to become a catchphrase in a less-than-great way, so we retired it almost entirely,” says the book (via The addiction🇧🇷 “After the fourth or fifth season, we rarely said that, but it was always a Big Bang thing.”
“And sometimes in a hurtful way, because people used it to mock the show… maybe we said it thirty times – if ever – over the course of 279 episodes. But we couldn’t get away,” he continued. “However, people loved it and latched on to it, and it was part of the series’ identifying characteristics.”
