Love Below The Degree: Why Women Love Drunk Sex

There is a sad trend: women are forming a new group of drinkers – because of gender. These are people who are not alcoholics but who need to drink to get excited. In the United States, for example, about 30% of sexually active women don’t go to bed at all without some amount of alcohol in their blood, and that’s a pretty ominous statistic. Yes, and you will probably name a few of these acquaintances …

Most often, single people fall into this category. A Columbia University study found they were three times more likely to have drunken sex than those in a relationship. There is a stable link between alcohol and sex, and each time it becomes more and more difficult to break it. Even young people, communicating with potential partners, often drink, not to mention adults.

Another reason is emotional. A cocktail before a first date with someone she met on a dating site acts as an “intimate tonic” that increases the likelihood of agreeing to have sex with a partner. A sip of alcohol becomes a way to overcome aversion to sex or a lack of confidence.

Some women enjoy drunk sex more than usual. They begin to worry less about how they will look without clothes or what they will say that is superfluous. The addiction develops quickly: it starts with a drink before a date, continues with consumption during the meeting itself, and then becomes the norm on every date.

Scientifically speaking, drunken sex is often caused by alcohol expectation theory. People hope that drinking will make them feel more relaxed and sexy, and it actually does. You can understand if drinking alcohol sometimes (!) Helps you survive the emotional “swing” more easily, but due to constant use there is another unpleasant characteristic. Orgasm while intoxicated becomes almost impossible and it is increasingly difficult to establish a healthy emotional connection with a partner. So the momentary benefit of a little brain fog can lead to more serious (and varied) consequences than meets the eye.
