Brand Carlyle revealed on Wednesday that COVID-19 has “finally caught up with me” and that he was expected to cancel a scheduled set at Stagecoach this weekend.
Carlisle shared the news in an Instagram video and spoke directly to his fans.
“Hello friends. It finally happened. “I have a cow,” he said in the video. So I won’t be able to come to Stagecoach. Oh, it’s horrible. I’ve been there for a few days and I have a chest infection, but I think I turned around today and I’m starting to feel a little better.
“I just wanted to let everyone know that I’m devastated, that I miss you and that I hope you have fun with my friends,” he added. “You’ll see the other side of this garbage.”
Carlisle was due to perform in Indonesia on Friday night at a festival in California, with Thomas Rhett headlining the day, with Maren Morris and Midland also starring in the project. Friday also includes country legend Tanya Tucker, with whom Carlisle collaborated on a Grammy-winning project. As long as you’re alive.
Carrie Underwood will attend Stagecoach on Saturday at 2pm, while Luke Combs will perform at the festival on Sunday night.
