Travis Scott returns to the festival stage for the first time this fall following the Houston Astroworld tragedy that killed 10 spectators.
On Wednesday, Festival Primavera released its schedule for several stops on the route of the 2022 rap event, scheduled to perform in Buenos Aires, Santiago and São Paulo on the dates of the South American music event. (Sსანo Paulo runs from October 31 to November 6, and Buenos Aires and Santiago from November 7 to 13).
The shows mark Scott’s first festival appearance since crowds turned deadly last November when he performed at his annual Astroworld Festival, a multi-day musical event hosted by the artist and held at Houston’s NRG Park.

Following the tragedy, which left hundreds injured and 10 dead from compression asphyxiation, performances at the Scott Festival at Day N Vegas and Coachella, as well as several other solo performances, were cancelled. Future cooperation with Dior was also canceled. Since the singer faced hundreds of lawsuits during the Nov. 5 concert tragedy, a congressional investigation into the festival’s events has begun.
Scott has agreed to reimburse Astroworld 2021 viewers and pay the victims’ funeral expenses. He also launched Project HEAL, a $5 million initiative aimed at addressing the security challenges of festivals and large-scale events, but Scott’s attorney argued that the musician was violating the order to facilitate action around the event. .
Houston police and federal officials are still investigating whether Scott, Live Nation, who worked as a promoter for the show, and others introduced adequate security measures during the November 2021 show, which was attended by around 50,000 people.

Since Astroworld, Scott has performed only a few times, including at a private party before the Oscars in March and during Coachella after parties this month. Scott’s latest album release, Utopia, It was suspended after the November tragedy, but is expected to be released this year.
Other artists slated for Spring Festival 2022 include Arctic Monkeys, Lorde, Björk, Charli XCX, Pixies, Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, Father John Misty, Interpol, Phoebe Bridgers, Japanese Breakfast and more.
