Nolan North and Troy Baker among video game actors joining live fundraiser for Ukraine

A group of veteran video game voice actors will participate in a live fundraiser for Ukraine on May 7.

Talent tested for the six-hour event, organized by IGN and Side London and titled “Playing for Ukraine”, includes Troy Baker (unexplored, შორსYou are the last among them), North Nolan (unexplored), Jane Perry (who recently won a BAFTA Games Award for her portrayal of Turn back), Doug Cockley and Jamie Barbacoff (Sorcerer) and Alix Wilton Reagan (cyberpunk 2077).

Participants are also included Joseph Balderama and Annabel Dowler (two are needed), José Maio (Lego City Undercover: The Chase Beginstelevisions episodes), Stephen Hartley (Ambition), Shay Matheson (Dragon Quest XI) and Esteban Rodriguez (Ni no Kuni: The Wrath of the White Witch).

To help the Red Cross deal with the crisis in Ukraine, the actors will read one of their most memorable performances live. The broadcast will also feature interviews and behind-the-scenes stories about what it takes to bring your characters to life.

“Like many, the SIDE team was shocked by the humanitarian crisis caused by the war in Ukraine. “We want to raise money to help millions of people whose lives have been destroyed in recent months and who will face the consequences for years to come,” said Sinnie Downing, Studio Director at SIDE London.

During the live stream, viewers are encouraged to donate to help.

“As part of the PTW family of brands, SIDE works with voice actors every day to bring their favorite characters to life in award-winning games,” Downing continued. “Our goal is to bring together the global love of gaming and the talent in it into a powerful event that will benefit Ukraine.

The event will be broadcast live on IGN channels on May 7, where voice actors from around the world will also participate in the performances.
