They keep adding friends. And successes. Los Pericos, this time, present the video for “Vete Ya”, the song they recorded with La Delio Valdez.
The single will be part of “Viva Pericos!”, the new collaboration album the band led by Juanchi Baleirón has been working on.
An album, moreover, with which Los Pericos set out to perform classics from the Spanish-speaking musical repertoire. And for which they have composed a selection of those Latin songs that have marked the history of the whole region, to which they will give an imprint marked by the classic “Pericos” sound.
Thus, well-known songs by Miguel Matamorros, Marco Antonio Solís, Los Rodríguez, Jorge Drexler, Julio Iglesias, Robi Draco Rosa and Daniel Melero, among others, have been chosen.
And always with distinguished guests like Rubén Albarrán (“You’re still catching me”), Carlos Vives (“Treat me gently”) and Emiliano Brancciari (“The age of the skies”).
They are now joined by La Delio Valdéz, with “Vete ya”. Why did they choose it? “Go now is a well-known Mexican theme. We changed the style, we put our reggae stamp on it, and we also liked to merge it with cumbia. For this we have the participation of the La Delio Valdez Orchestra,” they said.
As for the video, it was recorded in Mexico, with the wedding dolls from Oaxaca.
