In addition to music, L7nnon has always been passionate about skateboarding – and the entire culture of the sport.
Rapper from Rio de Janeiro who has hits like “oh black,” “american cut” and “Mercilessly,” L7nnon announced, this Tuesday, the 24th, an unprecedented partnership with the skate team from Red Bull in Brazil. In addition to being a singer, he is now a street skater sponsored by the brand.
In this partnership, the rapper will be part of several brand projects, in addition to using her products on several occasions. It is worth highlighting how skateboarding is a passion of L7nnon since childhood. He even participated, in Barcelona, in a competition for the best maneuvers – and he emerged victorious.

“I didn’t just fall in love with skateboarding itself, but also with the whole experience, you know? The great teachings of my life were given by my family and skateboarding,” said the artist in an interview with Rolling Stone Brazil. Along the way, I started dedicating myself fully to music, but my passion for skateboarding never waned, so much so that I’m always hanging out with my friends here at Riverwhether in Duothrough the Portuary zone, Praça XV or wherever.
If you are a fan of the singer’s music, don’t be worried about a hiatus due to the partnership. L7nnon he also explained how he will divide his time between skateboarding and a career as a rap singer: “I will continue with my obligations, but dedicate myself even more to that side too, which for me is great because skateboarding only makes me feel good.”
In addition, the rapper was quite happy with the partnership. “I’m honored, straight talk! Red Bull It’s a brand I’m very attached to,” he said. “Being a sponsored artist and skater is an honor because it’s a sign that my work is being recognized and that they believe in my potential to have the responsibility of representing such an important brand.”
When asked if this new career as a street skater will converge with the music part, L7nnon made mystery.
Skateboarding and music are always mixed in my life. I can’t confirm anything right now, but I believe this won’t change – on the contrary – but I prefer to keep it a secret for now.

Rolling Stone Brasil: How do you feel being sponsored by Red Bull (the first coming from the artistic world in this way)?
I’m honored, straight talk! Red Bull is a brand that I am very attached to, not only because of the products, but also the athletes that are sponsored, the events, tournaments and everything else. Being a sponsored artist and skater is an honor because it is a sign that my work is being recognized and that they believe in my potential to have the responsibility of representing such an important brand.
In addition to concerts and music recordings, you have also shown yourself to be a talented skater, even winning competitions for the best tricks in Europe. How did your interest in skateboarding come about? Is it something that comes from childhood? How have you developed that passion over the years?
Yes, it came from a young age. I didn’t just fall in love with skateboarding itself, but also with the whole experience, you know? The great teachings of my life came from my family and skateboarding. In the middle of this path I started to dedicate myself fully to music, but the passion for skateboarding never waned, so much so that I’m always hanging out with my friends here in Rio, whether in Duó, the Port Zone, Praça XV or wherever.
You’ve played important shows and participated in big festivals. For you, what will it be like to reconcile your career in music with your phase as a street skater sponsored by Red Bull?
Look, even with a schedule with many shows and commitments, skateboarding has never ceased to be part of my life because it is a priority for me. Now it won’t be any different. I’m going to continue with my obligations, but dedicate myself even more to that side too, which for me is great because skateboarding just makes me feel good.
With some variations of the sport, why did you choose street over skateboarding?
Ah, it’s a question of identification, really. It is closer to my style, my experience. It was a natural choice.
Will you bring elements of that partnership into your shows and videos? Or will it be separate from your music career?
Skateboarding and music are always mixed in my life. I can’t confirm anything right now, but I believe this won’t change – on the contrary – but I prefer to keep it a secret for now.
