Iconic Spanish actor, Antonio Banderas recalled when he had a heart attack – which almost killed him – and explained how that event greatly changed his perspective on life. For the star, this was “one of the best things” that happened to him.
During an interview with Radio Times (via The Independent), the actor related this experience to the plot of Puss in Boots 2: Last Order (2022), in which the protagonist played by him sees himself in the last life of a cat – and begins to reflect on the past and the future.

“I had a heart attack six years ago,” the actor stated in the conversation. “It was probably one of the best things that ever happened to me in my life. It was like putting on glasses and seeing what was really important.”
“I returned to Spain and started to look at my professional life from a different point of view,” continued Antonio Banderas. “So I connect [ao filme] in a personal way. I think it’s a beautiful message and I think it’s done right.”
