“The Kissing War,” according to its author, is a fresh-sounding, current cumbia that vindicates the importance of kissing and being kissed. And without a doubt, Ana Mena and Bejo provide a fresh sound, with lyrics that invite you to kiss, touch and smell.
“Don’t leave until tomorrow the kisses you can give today”says the chorus. “Naturalness is the most difficult of poses and the spontaneous kiss is a reflection of sincere love, without armor or strategy”, explains Dani Macaco himself.
The music video, directed by Gus Carvallo, is a party attended by couples of all kinds, who are encouraged to share different types of kisses. And Macaco himself presents a wide variety of ways to kiss.
Macaco, it is said, has revealed the title of what will be its new album: “Vuelame el corazón”, planned for this year and which will feature stellar collaborations from both sides of the pond. An album that talks about romantic relationships and their complexity, diversity and transcendence.
