75 kg less: how I lost weight to never catch up with stress again

Emotional eating is a popular way to deal with stress and problems. Breaking the vicious circle is not easy, but the result exceeds all expectations!

“I am 31 years old, I work as a hairdresser. For many years I ate under stress and did not want anything, then I decided to change – and lost 75 kilograms.

My story

I always ate more than I wanted to, mostly relying on my favorite foods. It got to the point where I started hiding food and eating when no one was looking! I felt bad, blamed myself for all the sins – and continued this vicious practice. Having reached 145 kilograms on the scale, I realized that I had to change something.

As an incentive, my mother offered me a bet: I would lose 40 kilos and she would help me buy a car. I lost 45 kilos, I bought a car, but because of vision problems I had to sell it. From the disorder, I started eating again … then fate brought me to a good nutritionist, who told me how to eat right so that the weight did not return.

Before, I preferred to do diets whose effect did not last long. Now I’ve learned to count calories and macros (protein, fat, carbs). I started thinking about the menu a few days in advance and not depriving myself of pleasures – but in moderation.

What am I eating now

Breakfast: wholemeal toast with low-calorie jam or egg, coffee.

Lunch: mushrooms with onions, chicken with potatoes and homemade sauce.

Dinner: pasta with beef or turkey and vegetables.

Snacks: nuts, cheese, yogurt.

My workouts

Now I can’t even remember when I didn’t go to the gym. I started – and got involved, without it I even get bored.

One day the trainer offered me to participate in a bodybuilding competition, then I had to go to the gym 5-6 times a week. But I liked it! Admittedly, I did not win the competition, but it was a great experience.

What helped me

The most important thing: I understood how to eat both correctly and tasty. I learned about different products, their pros and cons, how to read labels, and what my body needs.

I experimented with foods I had never eaten before and enjoyed. And despite the fact that losing weight took about three years, I have never regretted being involved in this story!
