Spanish singer Aitana opened the Madrid leg of her Cuarto Azul World Tour on Friday, September 12, 2026, playing the first of four concerts at the Movistar Arena. Throughout the night she repeatedly thanked the crowd for coming to see her.
Aitana told the audience she still gets nervous before shows, even though this was not her first time performing at the venue. She said she had just finished four consecutive concerts in Barcelona and that she always walks out feeling as nervous as if it were her first ever gig.
The stage was built around a blue curtain that opened to reveal a blue bedroom set, complete with a bed, echoing the room she had as a child in Barcelona, where she was born. She opened the show lying on the bed before appearing to fall from it as the lights cut out ahead of her song "6 de febrero." The crowd sang along to that track and to the rest of the setlist, a total of 24 songs.
Jay Wheeler joins for a duet
After opening with "6 de febrero," Aitana performed "Segundo intento" and then "Duele un montón despedirme de ti" alongside Puerto Rican singer Jay Wheeler, the only guest to join her on stage that night. She greeted the crowd with "Good evening, Madrid" and asked for a big round of applause for Wheeler, saying she is a big fan of his and that even her father, Cosme, had been impressed backstage by how well he sings. She said she had been excited to collaborate with him, calling the song one of her favourites on the record.
Aitana said that seeing fans arrive at the Movistar Arena dressed in blue and carrying banners showed how much effort they put in, and she thanked them for attending what she called the first of four incredible nights. She told those in the crowd that they had bought their tickets first and were her biggest fans, promising a great night. Responding to a fan holding up a meme of her face edited onto a chulapa, the traditional costume associated with Madrid's folk festivals, she said she was born in Barcelona but had lived in Madrid for nine years and now considers it home, adding that the city has an incredible way of making people feel that way.
Songs from across her catalogue
Aitana then performed two songs from her album "11 razones," "No te has ido y ya te extraño" and "+ (MÁS)," telling fans the record is especially meaningful to them and urging them to enjoy the moment. She grew emotional singing both tracks and took the opportunity to introduce her musicians.
She also played "Trankis," "Cuarto azul," "Cuando hables con él," "Los Ángeles" and "miamor," blending the last of these with Britney Spears' "Toxic." She followed with "AQYNE" ("Ahora que ya no estás"), a song regularly featured on Cadena 100, saying it might be the only chance fans get to hear it live since she is not sure she will include it in future tours.
After "24 rosas" and "Gran Vía," Aitana revealed that she can speak to her team through her microphone when it is switched off, and admitted she had told her dancers to hold onto her tightly because she was feeling dizzy. She told the crowd they were giving everything and that she never gets used to how good they sound, adding that she has performed at the venue many times but still finds the feeling incredible, and that she is grateful for it every day.
Gifts, a tribute to Gale and a declaration for Plex
Fans gave Aitana several gifts during the show, including a blanket referencing September 11, a number she said she likes because it appears in the title of one of her albums. During "Desde que ya no hablamos," she walked down to the front rows and hugged fans, telling them she knew some had been waiting there for days and calling it her favourite moment of the entire concert, saying it feels good to look them in the eyes and feel their love.
She then asked for applause for Gale, her opening act and the writer of songs including "Música en el cielo," which Aitana performed next. She also sang the romantic ballad "Vas a quedarte," letting the audience take over the chorus, followed by "Mon amour" and "Las babys."
Later in the set, after "En el centro de la cama," "Ex ex ex" and "Lía," Aitana made an emotional declaration about her boyfriend, YouTuber Plex. She said it was hard to accept the show was ending but that the closing songs were her favourites from "Cuarto azul." She said she could not be there without her whole team, and that while her family and lifelong friends remain in Barcelona, where her parents were present that night, she has built a chosen family in Madrid. She thanked her friends and her boyfriend, saying it is important to say you love someone when you mean it, and that she would keep saying it: "for life."
Closing with 'Superestrella'
Aitana thanked the audience once more, addressing children in the crowd and the parents and families who had brought them. She closed the night with "La chica perfecta," "Conexión psíquica" and "Superestrella," the official anthem of the 2026 World Cup, which she mixed with Rihanna's "We Found Love" for a surprise finale. She ended the show telling the crowd to get louder, thanking Madrid before leaving the stage.
