Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio is engaged to Australian jewelry designer Buck Palmer after a near two-year romance. The couple announced their proposal on Tuesday through a joint post on Instagram.
Ambrosio, 45, wrote in the social media caption, "I’d choose you in this life and every life. Here’s to forever, my love." Representatives for Ambrosio have been contacted by The Daily Mail for comment.
The fashion star has been dating Palmer, 44, a former model and jewelry designer, since late 2024. The couple first sparked engagement rumors when the former Victoria's Secret Angel shared Instagram photos wearing a gold band on her ring finger this past spring.
Beach proposal in Indonesia
Palmer proposed on the beach in Indonesia, kneeling on the sand in front of Ambrosio while she wore a string bikini. Ambrosio flashed her new diamond ring as the couple embraced, before posing inside a heart-shaped ring of rose petals.
Following the proposal on the sand, the newly engaged couple shared a passionate kiss. The pair also showed off matching heart tattoos during their Indonesian celebration.
Relationship history and engagement rumors
Ambrosio and Palmer were first romantically linked at a party during Miami's Art Basel in 2024. Insiders confirmed at the time that the model hoped to stay with her new partner for her entire life due to their deep connection.
A source exclusively told The Daily Mail at the time, "Alessandra knows who her New Year's Eve kiss is going to be, and she hopes to have the same man to kiss for every New Year's Eve for her entire life." The insider added, "She has been through the wringer in relationships but really truly believes in love and feels like she finally found it."

In 2025, Ambrosio told Us Weekly that she and Palmer connect through their "passion for life." She told the outlet, "We just love life to the fullest," adding, "We love living life and spending time together and enjoying every little thing. I guess it’s the little things, sometimes, that count more. Whatever we do, we both just have this passion for life."

The mother of two shares daughter Anja, 17, and son Noah, 14, with ex-fiancé Jamie Mazur. Ambrosio and Mazur broke off their engagement in 2018, ten years after Mazur initially proposed in 2008, and were pictured together in 2015.
In a 2023 interview with Schön! Magazine China, Ambrosio discussed her personal outlook on life. She shared, "I believe that [a] positive attitude and outlook on life can change how we see life and sometimes how other people see life.
