Andrew Garfield joined his girlfriend Monica Barbaro at the Crane Club in New York in the early hours of Monday morning following the premiere afterparty for her new film, One Night Only. The couple celebrated the upcoming release of the romantic comedy, which arrives in theaters on August 7 in the US and August 28 in the UK.
Barbaro, 36, stars alongside Callum Turner in the movie, which follows two strangers who try to find love on the single night each year when pre-marital sex is legal. Barbaro wore a plunging black minidress teamed with black heels and a clutch bag for the party, after changing out of a white silk slip dress she wore to the premiere earlier in the evening. Garfield wore a green suit and sweatshirt for the occasion.
Relationship History and Movie Roles
Garfield and Barbaro were first photographed together at the W Magazine Best Performances party in Los Angeles in January last year. After sparking romance rumors, Garfield reportedly went public with his romance with the Top Gun: Maverick star at Glastonbury, before the couple confirmed their relationship at Wimbledon later that summer.
Speaking about working with Turner in the film, Barbaro praised her co-star. "He's like a labrador, kind, energetic, fun, collaborative," she said.
Barbaro previously played fighter pilot Phoenix in 2022's Top Gun sequel, which grossed £1B at the box office. She stated that she wanted to honor the amazing female pilots she met during research for the film in her performance, while admitting that getting the story off the ground was not all plain sailing.
"There was an immense amount of pressure. A lot of people felt you should never sequel Top Gun," Barbaro told Porter.
Red Carpet Appearance by Callum Turner and Dua Lipa
Turner and his wife, singer Dua Lipa, made their first red carpet appearance together as a married couple at the premiere. Lipa, 30, and the actor, 36, could not resist a cheeky kiss while posing for snaps as Lipa supported her husband in his latest film role.
The pair married in Sicily earlier this summer and honeymooned around Europe before heading back to the US for Turner to promote the romance movie. Lipa showed off her physique in a plunging black gown featuring a halterneck design and tassel detailing, accessorizing with statement silver earrings and her brunette tresses swept up. Turner looked dapper in a navy suit and yellow shirt as he posed with Lipa and later alongside co-star Barbaro. Barbaro and Turner also posed for a photo together at the premiere.
