Pop singer Anitta announced on Sunday the dates and theme for her 2027 Ensaios da Anitta pre-Carnaval festival tour, which will visit eight Brazilian cities.
The concert series will run under the theme Festas do Brasil. Organizers stated in the announcement caption that the summer tour would travel across Brazil from north to south, celebrating different rhythms, gatherings, and ways of partying.
Ticket sales for the tour will begin with an exclusive pre-sale for Mercado Pago credit card holders on September 1 at 12:00 pm. General public sales will open on September 2, with the start time yet to be announced. All tickets can be purchased through the official event website.
Tour Schedule and Venues
The eight-city tour begins in Belém, Pará, on January 9, before moving to Recife, Pernambuco, on January 10. The performance series continues in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, on January 16 and Brasília, Federal District, on January 17.
During the second half of the month, the show travels to Campinas, São Paulo, on January 23 and Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, on January 24. The tour concludes with stops in Curitiba, Paraná, on January 30 and São Paulo, São Paulo, on January 31.
Belém is the capital of Pará in northern Brazil, while Recife is the capital of Pernambuco in the northeast region. Belo Horizonte, Brasília, and Curitiba are major regional capitals, while Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo host Brazil's largest metropolitan populations.
Growth of the Pre-Carnaval Festival
The Ensaios da Anitta project originally launched in 2019 as a single show with a Mariah Carey theme. Since its debut, the tour has expanded into a major national event and has also held performances in Portugal.
Previous editions of the annual concerts featured themes such as Guerreiras, Cosmos, and Maratona de Jogação.
Anitta is a Brazilian pop star known globally for blending funk carioca with pop music. Her Ensaios concerts serve as warm-up performances held in the weeks leading up to Brazil's official Carnaval celebrations, a nationwide festival famous for street parties and samba school parades.
Mercado Pago is the digital financial services platform of Latin American e-commerce giant Mercado Libre. Portugal, a European nation in southern Europe, is a key international market for Brazilian musical artists.
In addition to preparing for the 2027 festival tour, Anitta will compete in the samba-enredo contest for the Grande Rio samba school for the 2027 Carnaval season.
